For over 60 years, Uneeda Bolt & Screw has served as a quality fastener distributor for the tri-state area, as well as businesses nationwide. Today, Uneeda is owned and operated by Eli Brickman who believes operating a business under one roof offers customers the best service, least chance of error, and competitive pricing. To this day, we strive to do everything to satisfy our customers by offering the finest quality material and engineered products.

1954

Originally located in a sub-basement on 4th St. and Broadway in Manhattan, Uneeda was started by Ed and Alice Brickman with a $5,000 loan from Ely Klein. Deliveries were made out of their station wagon.

1965

Uneeda moves to a new location in the Bronx, NY.

1972

Former V.P., Larry Klein, joins Uneeda. Around the same time, the first imported fasteners start arriving from Japan.

1972

Uneeda Bolt and Screw moves to a new location in Moonachie NJ. This new location has a 40,000 sq. ft. warehouse that was needed for expansion.

1981

Uneeda installs a fully automated, state of the art packaging facility, including vertical fill, form, and seal bagger, infrared counters, as well as boxing equipment with custom labeling.

1983

Uneeda starts importing machine screws, washers, custom stampings, and castings from China, and bolts, sheet metal screws, hardened steel and precision parts from Taiwan.

1985

Eli starts working full-time at Uneeda. That same year, a fully bar-coded inventory system is implemented with random warehousing and full lot trace-ability.

1996

Eli Brickman becomes President of Uneeda.

2004

Uneeda Celebrates it’s 50th Anniversary!

2010

Uneeda becomes ISO 9001:2008 certified.

2012

Even though Uneeda was devastated by Super Storm Sandy, the employees pitched in and rebuild the company from the ground up.

2017

Uneeda becomes ISO 9001:2015 certified.
